JONATHAN

Jonathan Khor is an acclaimed Malaysian-based professional violinist whose passion for music began at the age of 5. Graduating from UCSI University with a degree in contemporary violin performance, Jonathan is versatile in both classical and contemporary styles, mastering both the acoustic and electric violin. His dedication to his craft has made him a highly sought-after musician in the Malaysian music scene.

A Symphony of Performances

Jonathan’s impressive performance history includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Siti Nurhaliza, Zee Avi, Sonaone, Yuka Kharisma, Altimet, Atilia Harun, and Sean Ghazi. He has also shared the stage with international acts like Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Rania, and S.H.E. Jonathan has played at numerous festivals around Malaysia, including the Publika Jazz Festival, Kuching Jazz Festival, Langkawi Live Blues Festival, and Miri Country Music Festival.

​Recording and Teaching Career

In addition to his live performances, Jonathan actively performs at weddings and corporate events throughout the year. He regularly does session recordings for top production companies such as Maveriq Studios, Two AM Music Global, and Sonic Soul Productions. His works include tracks for Netflix’s “The Ghost Bride,” Petronas advertisements, and jingles for various commercials. Jonathan has also recorded for local artists like Midnight Fusic, Sya (1st Def Jam Asia female rapper), Crinkle Cut, Mayubayu, and Santosh Logandran.

As a dedicated educator, Jonathan is a violin instructor at Sri Kuala Lumpur International School and runs his own home-based teaching studio.
